Like so many others, I’m sending multiple toons into the holiday boss version of Scarlet Monestary every day. I want that mount, just like everyone else that’s in there.
This year, I’ve seen a couple of lucky folks who’d sacrificed the right animal to the right RNG god to win the loot. What I’ve also seen in each of those instances was someone in the group expressing their hatred for that person’s good luck.
It’s random. This person didn’t do anything any different than anyone else in group.
- Open group finder
- Select dungeons option
- Select Headless horsman from the drop-down
- Specify the role you are willing to perform (tank/heal/dps)
- Click on Join Queue
That’s all they did. Same as me. Same as you, Mr/Ms Hateful Wretch. There’s no magic. Just as with the Sea Turtle, there will be those who catch it on their first cast and there will be those who’ve tossed a line tens of thousands of times. That’s the nature of random. It’s random.
Being a douche-bag about it will only get you ignored, which reduces the pool of people that you can randomly group with in the future. With add-ons that synchronize ignore lists between toons, you’ve removed my healers and tanks from ever being a random group match up for you.
