So what’s with the “Bodhi Rana” name? Bodhi is the Sanskrit word for “awakening, enlightenment.” It’s frequently used in conjunction with Buddhism. Rana is the Latin for a genus of frogs. Loosely translated it’s “Buddhist Frog.” I’m a Buddhist and I was named after a famous (yet somewhat obscure) frog. No, Rana is not the same genus as the frog that I was named after. However, I like the way Bodhi Rana sounds. So you will have to deal with the slight bit of scientific misinformation.
